Cross country skiing

There are several four cross country skiing sites in the Champsaur & Valgaudemar valleys so you can ski through a variety of different environments: alongside the river Drac, through the hedgerows and fields, through forests, on open plateaux and even at high altitude. And you’ll be able to appreciate the beauty of this unique countryside in all its snowy glory in peace and quiet.

25 km of pisted tracks accessible to all: beginners, intermediate and advanced cross country skiers of both traditional style and skating. The tracks wind through the trees and along the river with access points at Pont du Fossé, Champoléon and St Léger-les-Mélèzes.
5 km of tracked pistes in the resort of Orcières on a little cross country skiing area situated at 2300m of altitude.

With 9 tracked pistes over 50 km Gap-Bayard offers a variety of challenging routes with beautiful views over the valley of Champsaur and Gapençais.

For a really unique experience, go to Valgaudemar. Located at 1000m of altitude this deep, this narrow valley offers 28 km of pistes.
