How to come

Champsaur and Valgaudemar are situated in the Hautes Alpes on the edge of the Ecrins National Park, 20 km north of Gap, 100 km south of Grenoble and 200 km north of Marseille.

The Col de la Freissinières (2782m) and the summit of le Bans (3669m) mark the Eastern boundaries and the Lac de Sautet and Col Bayard (1248m) the Western boundaries.

      

From Paris: 650 km / From Marseille: 200 km / From Grenoble: 100 km

By car

It’s 200 km from Marseille. You take the A51 and follow signs for Gap and then Col Bayard.

It’s 650 km from Paris and 110 km from Grenoble. At Grenoble you take the A480 and follow signs for Gap, Briançon, Vizille and at Vizille you take the N85 towards Gap.

By plane

Marseille Airport: 220 km temps (2 hours).

Lyon Airport: 220 km (3 hours).

By train

There is a train station in Gap (you can get the Briançon sleeper from Paris which stops in Gap). There’s then a bus service from Gap to Orcières and the village resorts.
The TGV goes to Grenoble, which is 100 km away or Aix-en-Provence which is 175 km away. In the ski season there are transfers available from the stations.
