Mountain biking
At the gateway to the Ecrins National Park, Champsaur & Valgaudemar are mountain biking friendly valleys with a large choice of routes suitable for all levels.
The diversity of the natural landscape offers everything from high alpine pastures with the ambience of being in a high mountain environment to forest trails, fields and hedgerows.
Mountain Biking Routes (VTT FFC)
The mountain biking routes are all well managed and signposted. At every departure point and along the routes there are mountain bike signs with the number of the circuit that you are following. The technical and physical difficulty of the routes are classified by the colour of the numbers on the signs like ski pistes. There is a map showing all the mountain biking routes which you can get free from the tourist office. Other services in the valley include, a bike washing facility, mountain bike hire and the opportunity to go out with a mountain bike instructor to improve your technique.

Downhillers!
For downhillers there are several descents accessible by ski lift: the Rocherousse chair and cable car and the Croze des Hommes chairlift in Orcieres 1850 give you access to a range of downhill routes of between 800 and 1300m of descent!
Orcières Bike Park
The start is accessible from the Rocherousse chair and cable car.
Choose from: single track, switchbacks, bike ramps, fun box, water jump, wallride, see-saws…
Green, blue, red and black pistes
Suitable for all levels: from beginner to expert
